eth_estimateGas

Returns an estimation of gas for a given transaction.

Supported on Arbitrum One (Nitro) only.

Parameters

  • object - Transaction object, where from field is optional and nonce field is committed.
  • quantity or tag - (optional) Integer block number, or the string 'latest', 'earliest' or 'pending'.

Returns

  • quantity - The estimated amount of gas used.
